Very good

Again proving that you are one of the best musicians on this site, you managed to make this whole thing constantly changing while maintaining a similar feel for 4 minutes!

durn responds:

:) Thanks JCash. Had a lotta fun messing around with automation as a means of maintaining interest for this one. Really tried to keep the amount of melodies I used minimal and just changed up which synth they were on and what frequency range they were jamming in.

Good song!

I enjoyed listening to it, and I can definitely feel your inspiration for the song. I only don't give it a 10 because there were a few minor parts that I thought might have repeated a bit much, but it didn't detract from the song just limited it I think. I can't really compare it to your song Summer Solace because they are completely different styles, although I think that song may be your best work so far. Honestly it comes down to my mood I guess.

Also, I love how you interact with your listeners, that alone makes you one of my top newgrounds audio artists right off the bat!

Songs are tricky to review...

durn responds:

and so you reviewed my character instead. lol. ;)

ya, the main problem with this song, I think, is that I don't change up the progression style enough, follows the same 32-bar structure the whole way through.

:) thanks for the kind words, JCash-444.

Nice!

Love it!! What music maker do you use? You should definitely continue to do this.

hopeku responds:

Fruity loop for that one. Thanks!

very good, but....

as chronamut said, "breathe some life into it". i think the only thing to make it better would be if you did some soft underlying pieces of harmony below the melody. i can feel it now: da da daaaaa da. da da daaaaa da da. deeedle deeedle daa da da da dedle-eedle dee dee da-dle dumdidumdidumdidumdi deedeeeedeedeeeedee. and such...

all right!

it is good except the rushingness of it all. rushingness ftl! sorry bout the 9 pal. see ya!

very good

dont know what you guys were talking about with the trumpets, they fit perfectly and i used to play the trumpet and a 14 year old like myself is fully capable of playing all these high notes in a row if he practices even just a little bit. perfect blend, my man.

wow

man that blended so good and was the perfect volume. thank you for a calming bit of day.

good

all i can say is good, man, and the tone changes are curiosly refreshing when you have been listening to marching and bass and choir for a while. something out of the ordinary for you, my friend. i like it.

reminds me of something...

oh ya the beginning reminds me of civilization, but it definetly changes pretty quick. to me it sounds like a group are trying to start a colony in the beginning and then a couple years later they have built some power and go to take over and kill their rivals, but end up dying in a brilliantly inspirational struggle. a shorty but most definetly a goody. (theres my comparisons and relations for ya)

good

definetly some old english festivals going on here. good job on capturing the old time spirit, im just on here writing more reviews for you and trying to subbmit my own audio content so in a couple of days check me out i will have some stuff there, just four songs i made at a friends house on his garage band for mac.
